Here's a list of active ingredients in allergy tablets available in the UK. If you're not having any luck with one of them, you could try one with another active ingredient.

  • Cetirizine (Hydrochloride): Benadryl one a day (Pfizer), Zirtek (UCB), Piriteze (GlaxoSmithKline)
  • Loratadine: Clarityn (Schering-Plough)
  • Acrivastine: Benadryl allergy relief (Pfizer)
  • Chlorphenamine Maleate: Piriton (GlaxoSmithKline), Pollenase (Peach), Haymine (Forest), Galpseud (Thornton & Ross)
  • Fexofenadine (Hydrochloride): Telfast / Allegra (Sanofi Aventis)
